Kieferorthopäde Andreas Niklas in Kulmbach

Alexandria, Va. – The International Association for Dental Research (IADR) announces Andreas Niklas, University of Regensburg Medical School, Germany, as the 2009 recipient of the IADR David B. Scott Fellowship for his proposal titled „Development of a New Device for in vivo Optical Measurement of Pulp Blood Pulse – Defining Basic Optical Parameters.“ Niklas, representing the IADR’s Continental European Division, will be recognized at the IADR 87th General Session & Exhibition in Miami, Florida, USA, on April 1, 2009, and will receive a monetary prize of $2,500.

Supported by the proceeds of an endowment created by the late Mrs. Nancy M. Scott in honor of her husband, David B. Scott, a past president of IADR, the Fellowship is presented annually to a dental student from one IADR Division. The Fellowship rotates alphabetically among all IADR Divisions.

„IADR is pleased to provide the David B. Scott Fellowship,“ said IADR Executive Director Christopher H. Fox. „This Fellowship is awarded via a competitive review process administered by the Fellowship Committee and the Board of Directors, furthering the IADR mission of advancing oral health worldwide and supporting the oral health research community.“
